Plenty to work with here and exceptional quality as the standout yellowfin are in the 35-45 pound class. Plenty of 20-30's are in the mix as well as "shaker" size tuna and watermelon sized skipjack. No kidding. There are some real beauties here giving anglers and crewmen alike a run for their money. In addition we ran by an area of nice grade dorado on the way down that would have loaded up the entire local fleet for weeks on end. A little too soon, and way to delicate to be the foundation in our first RSW tank, we opted out hoping the fish gods will reward our mercy sometime later in the trip.  Satisfied with our start we hunkered down for the night ready to rock tomorrow. Photo today features "Tuna Tom" Honaker who is a Royal Star legend and one of my few personal heroes with an average size yellowfin tuna found today.
