Hi Gang,

We departed yesterday at 1100 on our annual Bluefin or Bust 5 day with trip host MItch Chavira and a great group of people. After getting a nice load of sardine, we cleared Point Loma and headed out to the bluefin grounds. We did not have much success with our first few stops as the fish we located did not respond. Then we had a window of opportunity. For about 3 hours we would have fish stay under the boat and get between 2 to 5 bites per stop. They were all nice fish. We ended up with 3 over 200, 2 around 190, and another 4 between 130 and 150. We are pumped. Our weather was not nice. It was 18 to 20 knots with sea on it but, it was fishable. We made the most of what we had to work with. We lost a few fish due to connection failures. We are out of the weather this morning and trying for yellowtail and SCI today. The weather is forecasted to come down a little tonight and we will be back out on the grounds trying for bluefin after dinner. Thanks for checking in.
