Friday Report

  • The Aztec returned this morning from a 3 day trip with 125 Yellowfin Tuna and 175 Yellowtail for their 15 anglers.
  • The Pride returned this morning from a 1.75 Day trip with 5 Bluefin Tuna for their 11 anglers. The Bluefin weighed 125 to 230 pounds.

  • We are still recommending 25 to 40 pound line with matching fluorocarbon leaders and size 1 or 2 hooks for our Full Day and Overnight trips and if you are headed out on a 1.5 day or longer trip definitely consider bringing some heavier gear like 80 pound for those larger Bluefin. The savvy angler would also have some flatfall/knife style jigs as well.
