Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Rusty

We are having a great run of stripers this time of year. It’s mostly the 1 to 3 pound fish that are being landed here below the Davis Dam. Now and again the larger fish are out there it’s just the smaller ones can and will get to your bait first.

Well our local angler Dale Grace found that out  he landed a nice 34 inch striper at 17 and 3/4 pounds using anchovies. He was fishing from shore close to the Laughlin bridge on the Arizona side. We are getting reports of fish up and down the Colorado river both sides of the river and by boat are producing fish. I got news that some anglers throwing swim baits are landing some of the bigger fish. None brought in yet so we are looking forward for those stories to surface soon I know.

In the meantime we are getting trout from the Willow beach hatchery. This will be a great season for anglers young and old. It’s that time to get your trout gear ready for this outdoor adventure.

I have not gotten much word from up on Lake Mohave. so if you are having any luck on the lake please let me know and thanks. The same for the marsh area I know it was closed for the feral pig hunt and water fowl season is coming. There are still some good fishing areas and the weather is getting very comfortable.

Hope this helps for now and we look forward to seeing you in to share that catch and the story on how you did it. Mostly thanks so much for all of the support.
