Much cooler temperatures and a nice breeze helped to improved the bite again this week. Anglers used Power Bait ( especially salmon peach, rainbow, orange and garlic), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch their trout. Most trout were near or over two pounds. Hot spots included the grassy point, eastern logged shore and western shore near the drain of lake 3 as well as the northern shore of lake 2. Catfish continue to hit Power Bait, night crawlers, and shrimp. Most catfish are averaging almost 3 pounds. Hot spots for catfish include the northern, eastern and southern shores of lake 2 and the western shore of lake 3. Anglers are reporting excellent Bass action on both lakes on senkos and jigs. Hot spots for bass include the northern and western shores of lake 2 and the western and northern shores of lake 3. Bluegill are finally active with anglers using meal worms and jigs to catch fish to 2 pounds. Hot spots include the southeastern and western shores of lake 2 as well as the northern and western (near the pump house) of lake 3.
