Sunday Updates

  • Today we had some very good reports from the our Full Day boats all the way up to our 2 Day trips. The Bluefin fishing has continued to remain consistent over these past couple weeks with limits for a few of the returning trips today and others just shy of their daily limits. We have also seen those finicky Yellowfin show back up on the Full Day and Overnight trips along with some Skipjack as well. Things are looking good out there right now and we're hopefully we can carry this momentum into October!

  • The Pacifica returned their Overnight charter with 34(limits) Bluefin and 5 Yellowtail for their 17 anglers. Their fish were mainly in the 25 to 40 pound range with one standout fish at 70 pounds.
  • The Endeavor finished up their Two Day charter with 72 Bluefin Tuna and 11 Yellowtail for 18 anglers. Their Bluefin were between 30 and 120 pounds.
  • The San Diego wrapped up their Full Day trip with 67 Yellowfin, 49 Skipjack and 1 Bluefin Tuna for their 34 anglers. Captain Matt mentioned the fish are in the 35 pound range and that 25 to 40 pound fly-line baits with matching fluorocarbon leaders and size 2 or 4 hooks were the best method for the Tuna.
  • The Tribute called in this afternoon with 51 Bluefin, just shy of limits, for day two of their 2.5 Day trip. The fish are in the 30 to 80 pound range.
