  • Update 7:45 PM The Tribute checked in on day one of a 2.5 Day trip with 32 Bluefin Tuna. The Bluefin range from 30lbs to 213lbs. Flyline baits and Heavy Jigs have been working best.

    Friday Bite Report!

    • The Sea Watch ended their Full Day offshore trip with 12 Bluefin Tuna ranging from 15-80lbs and 7 Yellowfin Tuna ranging from 10-30lbs. Captain Ryan reports that flylining with 20-25lb fluorocarbon, a #4 J hook and a healthy sardine worked best. He also reports a huge volume of fish seen this trip signaling a good offshore fall fishing season! The Sea Watch has weekday availability this week so here is your chance to take a shot at this improving offshore bite.
    • The San Diego ended their day with 47 Yellowfin Tuna and 28 Bluefin Tuna. Captain Matt says that flylining with 25-30lb fluorocarbon, a #2 or 4 J hook and a lively bait worked best. Colt snipers 42-60 grams also worked for a few anglers on this trip.
    • The Cortez returned from their 1.5 Day Trip with 23 Bluefin Tuna and 7 Yellowtail.
    • The Endeavor finished their 1.5 Day Trip with 30 Bluefin Tuna.
    • The Pride's 1.75 Day Trip put 28 Bluefin Tuna, 7 Yellowfin Tuna and 4 Yellowtail on the boat.
    • The Aztec returned from their 2.5 Day Trip with 60 Bluefin Tuna and 49 Yellowtail.
