This is an exciting time of the year for anglers, every day there is fresh news from the fishing front. The past couple of days are no exception, with better weather several boat have been able to make the runs to Catalina and San Clemente islands. Earlier in the week, the fishing for white sea bass was very spotty partly due to the lack of squid available, but that all changed by mid week, live squid was again available and private boat anglers were putting it to good use catching white sea bass. This is great new for those participating in the Western Outdoor News/Two Harbors tournament that starts tomorrow. At San Clemente Island, several spots of yellowtail are there, but the fish are reluctant to bite. Look for that to improve with the good weather. Along the coast, the spring bass bite is on, and at the Coronado Islands, yellowtail are seen and caught every day, but again are reluctant to bite full speed. This Saturday will be a great program- one of our most popular guests, Captain Jack Webster will be on the show with Pete and Rick. Jack is a former long range captain, and now runs a commercial albacore "bait boat", catching albacore commercially with pole and line. Jack will give us incredible insight on the upcoming albacore season, and will share his vast knowledge on finding and catching fish. We will also have on the water reports to give you the latest from the fishing front.

Sunday is another special program, with Captains Mike Hansen and Brian Woolly from Dana Wharf Sportfishing will be in the studio. Both these captains have years of on the water experience and will give you the latest details on all that is going on at Dana Wharf.
