Saturday Updates
- Tribute Update: The Tribute is up to 12 bluefin tuna (30 to 80 pound) and 5 yellowfin tuna (30 to 40 pound) on the boat. Fishing a 30# flyline setup is the hot ticket so far. We still have room on their One Day trip leaving Tuesday night, make your reservations now!
- The Tribute started off their One Day trip with 8 bluefin tuna already on the boat! The fish are in the 30 to 75 pound range.
Friday Report - Yellowfin & Bluefin stauts update!
- Yellowfin tuna are starting to show on a few of our Overnight Trips. The Aztec ended up with 13 Yellowfin for 13 anglers & the Voyager ended up with 12 Yellowfin for 16 anglers. These Yellowfin are starting to show up in numbers and its only a matter of time until they start to bite well. Captains report that using 20lb line, a small #2 hook and a lively bait is working best. Smaller Colt Sniper type jigs are also working on some schools of these fish.
- Bluefin tuna are starting to bite again for our boats. The best chance for these trophy fish are on trips 1.5 day or longer. The Invader returned from their 2 Day trip with 6 Bluefin up to 200lbs for 3 anglers. The Pacifica returned from their 1.5 day trip with 17 Bluefin and 17 Bonito for 27 anglers. Our captains are reporting that these fish are primarily caught on 200g-300g Flat Fall / SK type jigs in the dark or on the kite rotation for a few lucky anglers during the day.
