Thursday Report

  • The San Diego finished their Full Day trip with 5 Yellowfin, 6 Dorado and 8 Yellowtail for 35 anglers. Captain Matt is seeing encouraging signs offshore and feels its just a matter of time before they start to bite. He also reminds all anglers that a good bait selection and frequent bait changes will give you your best chance for a bite especially during tough fishing conditions!
  • The Voyager wrapped up their chartered Overnight trip with 9 Yellowfin for 11 passengers. Many schools of these Yellowfin were seen but many of them were not ready to bite quite yet! Captain Todd says the hot rig for these fish was live bait with a #2 J-hook and 20LB fluorocarbon leader.
  • The Cortez wrapped up their chartered 2.5 Day trip with 14 Bluefin for their 14 anglers. Captain Jim reports that the largest of these fish taped out at 281 pounds!
