Lake Poway stocked 1,200 lbs. of catfish on August 20th. Night fishing is on Friday and Saturdays and the park will be open for fishing until 11:30 PM on those nights – will be shoreline fishing only until further notice. The best bait to use for catfish is mackerel, chicken liver, or night crawlers. They are having success catching by the fishing pier and Jump Off Point. The bass bite is still consistent and on Saturday, Otto caught a 10.8 lb. bass off the fishing pier using a dark green Yamamoto Senko (see photo), great catch Otto! The last catfish stock of this season will be this coming Friday, September 3rd of 1,200lbs.

Boating Closed - Due to damage sustained on the dock, the boat dock has remained temporarily closed and boats are not available for rent. Please check back for updated information.
When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information.
