We departed on our Catchy Tackle 5 Day trip with a nice load of bait and started making our way to the fishing grounds. We arrived on scene in the dark and we got to work right away. We had good fishing throughout the night on 40 to 120# Bluefin. When the dust had settled we put together a really nice night. Day time hours was as good as it gets Bluefin fishing on 40 to 80# fish. The majority of our fish were caught on 40# test and a fly lined bait with a size 2 hook. We ended our day with daily limits of Bluefin and one 65# Yellowfin. Last night Chef Brian put on a show with a double bone-in porkchop with a brown sage butter sauce. We are going to try for this Bluefin again and see if we can capitalize on this beautiful grade fish. We will check in later.
