BASS
For bass anglers there seems to be no end to the exceptional bite. Throw swimbaits, crankbaits, and jerkbaits in the morning for big bass. For the remainder of the day plastics are the way to go! Texas rigged worms in oxblood, prism shad, and morning dawn, fat Ikas in watermelon or green pumpkin, and Carolina rigged brush hogs are your best bet. If you don't care about size the drop shot is a nearly guaranteed method. Fish the points or try lead core trolling jointed Rapalas along the dams. Most reports have bass hanging around 35 feet. Stephanie Reschke caught a 7 pound bass drop shotting a Margarita mutilator Roboworm in the south west corner.

TROUT
DVL trout are MIA. Bass anglers are reporting unintentional catches of holdover trout in Rawson cove or the corners of the dams. Try throwing mini jigs or night crawlers in 15 to 30 feet of water.

STRIPER
Anglers reported a few small striper catches this week on swimbaits. The most reported spots have been Rawson cove, near the rock quarry, and by restroom 2. Juan Miranda of Hemet caught a 12.55 pound trout on the east dam with a swimbait.

CATFISH
Cat fishing was slow this week. The saddle dam and Rawson cove were the most reported spots for cats. Most cut baits will work. Mackerel, anchovies, and nightcrawlers being the top baits.

PANFISH
The panfish bite is wide open! Anglers reported mass quantities of blue gill, red ear sunfish, and crappie. Try mini jigs, mealworms, or nightcrawlers along the dams, and let the kiddies play with the smaller fish on the surface while you go for the meatier fish in 10 to 15ft of water.
