Another great day of fishing adding to the catch one, two, and three at a time throughout. Aside from a couple of brief lulls that were welcomed by all opportunity was available nigh daylight through dark. Grueling battles were the norm. Between the size of the fish and effort required to win the duels this is not leisure fishing to be sure. High intensity best describes it; high stakes, max effort, big rewards. Welcome to Isla Guadalupe!

All in good fun of course. While intense there is nothing quite like the gladiator in the arena atmosphere this anglers paradise is so well known for. Being cheered on by all when your turn in the octagon arrives adds a rather unique element to the whole. And makes those hard earned victories that much sweeter. Hunkered down in the beautiful lee catching while savoring refuge from conditions not so beautiful on the outside we accept the blessings with gratitude. All’s well.
