Well it’s not looking like the trout bite is going to slow down anytime soon. Powerbaits and night crawlers hanging down in the 4 to 8 foot range are still bringing in lots of limits. Spoons and spinners are doing the trick as well. Even fly fishing with both wet and dry flies is producing. Trolling on leadcore at one to two colors or monofilament with small Rapalas, spoons, or night crawlers is another way to ensure success. The biggest change is that the bright moon phase has shifted to morning bite a little later into the day, so getting out at dawn is not necessary. The evening bite, from sunset into the night, is most definitely where most of the action has been seen.
