A quick admin note today as we turn the boat around on the annual Let's Talk Hookup sponsored 4 day run. Tracy has been fielding a number of calls about tackle that is available on board Royal Star. We do provide all kite rigs and trolling gear if anglers choose to use boat tackle. For anglers needing smaller outfits in the 25 - 60 pound class you will need to rent gear from Fisherman’s Landing. If you are going to rent tackle please reserve your equipment well in advance; minimum three to four weeks. These bigger bluefin have taxed everything in the tackle realm. We do have a few smaller outfits to supplement unexpected gear failures on Royal Star but not enough to reliably supply Royal Star anglers for their voyages.
