Fishing is doing okay at Stampede Reservoir

Mountain Hardware & Sports
Fishing is doing okay at Stampede Reservoir, but the water levels are low. Anglers fishing for Kokanee are seeing the best results starting at 4am and fishing around 40-60 feet of water. In the really early mornings, anglers could see fish in the shallower waters, but as the sun rises, anglers should fish deeper. Some recommended bait for Kokanee are pink squids, glow hoochies, or dick knight spoons tipped with shoepeg corn behind a watermelon, orange or glow dodger. With the warm temperatures lately, smallmouth bass have also been a good species for anglers to fish. Anglers fishing smallmouth should focus near any rocky point outcropping or near the dam.
Stampede Reservoir is currently at 38% capacity.
