July is booking up fast! I have some open dates so if you want to get out here, book soon!

Fishing has been decent this past week. No giants, no crazy numbers just steady. I've also been actively avoiding the armada of guide and rental boats over in Mcgee to fish more overlooked areas. It always pays off to explore, I. can't. say. that. enough. Nothing irritates me or any of the other guides more than when people don't even TRY  to find their own fish and park less than 2 boat lengths away from us the instant they see a bent rod on a guide boat. Perfect example - I've been hiding over at Sandy for the last 4 or 5 days and people just drive right past me to go to McGee or the North Arm... Until they see a bent rod and then they come off the throttle and before I know it there are 12 boats around me! There are fish are on the flats in 20-25ft, but the bigger ones are off the ledge in almost 30ft of water. Yes, that's not a typo - 30ft.  Marking fish out in Hilton in around 28-30ft as well as some fish off Alligator. The fish are still along stormy, and sometimes also out near 30ft but it's definitely slowing down over there now. The fish are starting to get a little picky, and the hatches are getting a little sporadic now. Fish larva patterns right on the bottom until you start to see midges coming off the water, then move your rig 1-3ft off the bottom and start running gray and black higher up in the water column to better imitate the pupa that are floating ever higher towards the surface.
