Lower Twin Fishing Report

Twin Lakes Resort Staff
Happy Friday everyone, the fishing on Lower Twin is still maintaining its consistency. Both fishing from a boat and from shore have been pulling some numbers. Those who are fishing from shore seem to be doing a lot better using bait rather than lures. The hot bait right now is the garlic gulp-pinched nightcrawlers. These smelly things have been killing it here! The best setup to use when fishing these worms is the Carolina rig. For those of you who are not familiar with the Carolina rig, I will be posting a tutorial shortly on how to set up this rig and what leader length is best for these waters. Those who have been fishing from a boat have done best trolling rather than bait fishing. Hitting the water early morning with an olive woolly bugger has been producing many fish from the 1 to 4 pound range this past week. Some other hot lures to troll with and cast behind the boat are the red and gold Thomas Buoyant’s, silver and blue Kastmaster, red and gold Speedy Shiner’s, and lastly drowning a worm behind a set of Cowbells. If at any time you are having trouble setting up a rig or need some extra help, our boathouse employees are here from 6 A.M to 4:00 P.M. Stop by the General store on Lower Twin and ask for Matt or Luis and they will get you all taken care of, best of luck everyone!
