Look where we live we have some great fishing areas. This is a nice variety of the different fish we have to target in our area. These fish were caught along the shores of the Colorado River below the Davis Dam. Mike Fisher, one of our local anglers landed a carp while he was fishing from shore using a chunk of squid to land this 19.98 pound carp at 28 inches. The carp are the only fish in our area that is legal to take by spear or  bow fishing and hook of course. Our next local angler Mike Merrett likes to fish off of his 3 seater sea doo. Which he does very well and here is a limit of 10 stripers he hauled in using anchovies. the limit of stripers is 10 below the Davis dam with no size limit on these fish. The regulation for this bag limit is in the book under bag limits. not to be confused with the large mouth bass and or the small mouth bass which is 6 and 13 inches. Our local anglers Raul Gonzalez and Richard Erdmann each landed their limit of rainbow trout while fishing from shore. they were in the Rotary park area using spinners and trout jigs. I weighed a couple of their trout and one was 2.10 pounds at 18 and 3/8 inches and another at 1.44 pounds' at 16 and 3/4 inches. this is a nice catch of rainbow trout. the limit for trout below the Davis dam is 5. this was lowered a few years back.
