Pacific Dawn Santa Rosa Island Overnight SFR Charter
6-7-2009
Homan Khaki
We had a blast on our overnight SFR charter aboard Pat Cavenaugh's Pacific Dawn. The passengers included many old friends from previous Pacific Dawn trips and many new friends were made on this trip. We went straight to Santa Rosa Island with high hopes of White Seabass and Halibut. The bait tanks were already plugged with squid from the previous trips so we were ready upon arrival. A few really big Bat Rays tested our drags and got us pumped and ready for the real deal. We fished really hard in the morning for two very nice White Seabass and a couple Halibut. We had some beautiful weather and a wonderful group of anglers onboard. We loaded our sacks with some really nice Rockfish and had another great trip. Check out the Pacific Dawn's website for their schedule and to book your next trip online. They will be heading down South to San Diego and running out of Fisherman's Landing at the end of June. Oh, and don't forget about their epic skiff trips, if you're into bass and fishing the kelp, you don't want to miss these trips! I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story, thanks again to the hard working Crew of the Pacific Dawn for another memorable trip!
