Wednesday is a GO!

Plenty of sign on the grounds as everyone on scene found abundance to work with. Getting them to bite of course was another story. Typical bluefin. For no apparent rhyme or reason some schools stuck around and others didn’t. For the lucky few anglers that did tie into one of the prized beauties rest assured that their tables, and those of friends and families, will be coveting the richest of ocean bounties for many nights to come. On average the fish landed and being seen are in the 70 - 120 pound class with a few standouts pushing into the two hundred pound range.

The next 1.5 day “mini long range” run departs on Wednesday and still boasts plenty of availability. This trip is a DEFINITE GO! The all inclusive price of $450 treats Royal Star anglers to the full long range experience including the traditional final evening prime rib extravaganza. Of even greater importance the weather forecast for Thursday on the grounds is excellent - flat calm in the am with an easy afternoon breeze and very little in the way of seas and swell. If you are in the market for a shot at beautiful bluefin on Royal Star now is the perfect time. Give Tracy a call in the office, or call Fisherman’s Landing, or book online.

Enjoy today’s image of Royal Star veteran Joe Dawson with his 107 pound bluefin landed during last Saturday’s morning action.
