The sun feels good when it’s out, but this is the time of year when the wind doesn’t. 

Cold the last few weeks. Colder then really anytime this winter. Been windy too. If you just moved to town, welcome to our spring weather.

Flows have come up on the entire Truckee River. Flows are up out of Lake Tahoe. Flows are up out of Boca. The rivers pretty much her normal size now. 500 something here in the Hirsch, and up to 600 out East. This is when the good fishing will happen. Now that the trouts have settled into these flows, should be game on. Spring is mostly when I get my big fish, winters good, falls ok, but spring is the best time to go hunting. Though, I’m over winter, and would like to have some nice warm weather, would love to get some more snow. I’m sure we will, April can be as cold and snowy as March.
