Some notable changes for our area:
7.40 (80) Little Truckee River – Zero trout limit from Stampede Reservoir Dam downstream to Boca Reservoir.
7.40 (87) Martis Creek– Fishing permitted all year now. Permitted from Martis Lake dam downstream to the confluence with the Truckee River. Zero trout limit.
7.40 (88) Martis Lake Tributaries – Fishing permitted all year now. Zero trout limit.
7.40 (112) Prosser Creek – Fishing permitted all year and zero trout limit now. Permitted from Prosser Reservoir dam downstream to the confluence with the Truckee River.
7.40 (153) Truckee River – Zero trout limit now from the confluence of Trout Creek downstream to the mouth of Prosser Creek.
TRUCKEE RIVER
The Truckee River is fishing well in the Glenshire and Hirschdale areas of the river. Anglers are seeing the most success using small mayfly nymphs, san juan worms, midges, jigged prince nymphs, and winter stones.
FLOWS: Tahoe City 106 CFS, Glenshire 124 CFS, Boca Confluence 344 CFS, and Farad Exit 364 CFS
RECOMMENDED GEAR:
Bugs: Small Mayfly Nymphs, Winter Stones, Red Copper Johns, Midges, San Juan Worms, Jigged Prince Nymphs
Gear: 9′ 5-8wt rod with 9′-12′ 5x leader
