This week we had a good weather conditions, some days we only had a breeze at noon or in the evening.
Sunrise: 5:42 AM
Sunset: 7:02 PM
Barometer: 29.77" Hg
Feels like: 89??
Humidity: 42%
Wind: E 9 mph
Best Fishing Yellowtail Spots:
Carmen Island tip to tip Lobos north to Perico.
Early on the week we had an excellent fishing days with a lot of action to for yellowtail, yellowtail sappers, Cabrillas and dog sappers. The yellows were eating at the surface for periods and some boats caught up to more than 8 pieces of these. Weighing from 20 to 30 pounds.
Antonio and I went fishing last Tuesday and we found a school of sardines close to the shore on Punta Perico, we were fishing here for 40 minutes and were a feast of all species of eating sardines. Only used artificial or jigs and at the end of this unbridled moment, we got the following catch.
30pound Yellowtail,25 yellowtail snappers,4 Cabrillas and 2 Dog snappers
In the last two days the fishing has slowed down, I think the schools of sardines are moving to other sites and the fishing here has slowed down.
Dorado ??? Dorado the first schools are coming to Loreto!!!
The first three days of the week the we were fishing outside of Lobos Island Carmen approximately 5 miles. There we found dorado around 35 pounds around and under the seaweed.
Yesterday and today we went fished for Dorado and found a few but less variety.
Big eye bait is available outside of Loreto early in the morning or you can buy from the bait boat. The cost is 10 pieces for 15 usd, 15 for 20 and 20 for 25.
