A Wonderful First Day

Hello everyone;
We arrived to our destination in the early morning hours, made a few mackerel, and started fishing for Yellowtail. The bite didn’t happen, so we made a quick move to the east. We did some trolling for Wahoo, and only landed a handful. We made a few drifts for some grouper, only to land a few small one’s.
We caught enough for a fish fry tomorrow, and round them up with a few jumbo whitefish. Around lunch, we made another move to the west, dropped the anchor and started picking away at 30 to 40 pound Yellowtail. These are just beautiful fish. Anglers that put there time in at the rail, did good.
Once the sun went down, we made a tank of bait, and we are playing the waiting game. What time will the bite start? Most of our people are going down, and will wake up around midnight, to try there luck at these beautiful Yellowtail. Weather today, started out a bit bumpy, but it’s starting to lay down. Most of the day was sunny, with 12 to 15 knots of breeze. Not much more to report, so until tomorrow, wish us luck. Team R/p.
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
