Fishing at Lake Del Valle has been pretty good this past week for Striped Bass, Lightning Trout and Rainbow Trout.

Weather: The temperature is starting to cool off.

Clarity of Water: The water seems to be very clear near the boat docks. Once you get past the Lower Narrows it is still clear with about 15 feet of visibility.

Temperature of the lake: 57 degrees F

Hot spots: East Beach, Lower Narrows and the Dam.
Favorite Lures for Bass: 1/4 oz. Panther Martin Spinners
Striped Bass: Anchovies
Catfish: Anchovies
Trout: Swimsuit, powerbait and jigs

Joaquin Gutierrez from San Lorenzo caught a stringer of trout weight 12 pounds at the Lower Narrows. The niggest one was a 5.10 lightening trout caught on a spoon.

Anthony and Ricky caught 3 Lightning Trout by the Lower Narrows, The biggest one was 8 pounds, they were using crappie jigs.

Striped Bass

jack Forzano from Livermore caught a 7 lb. and 5lb. Striper. He was using anchovies caught at the dam.

Rainbow Trout

Shawn Hensger from Pleaston caught a stringer of trout weighing 10.3 pounds at the East Beach. The biggest one was 3.7 lb.s and he was using powerbait.
