Fish Report for 11-24-2020
Trout bite was steady on Shasta today!

Shasta Lake is currently 108' feet below full pool and surface temps are ranging from 56-58 degrees. Those numbers spell good fishing in my mind. I had a one day trip on Shasta Lake today and we saw a pretty steady bite. Nothing fast and furious, but steady for sure. We covered a lot of water in a short period of time. We trolled side planers and a multi color leadcore presentation straight out the back of the boat all morning. Just about every rod saw some action and the Trinidad Tackle Optimizer Jr's were favored by todays trout and bass. The blue/white and blue/nickel spoons seemed to get the most bites overall though. We definitely stayed above 20' deep with our lines which were mostly leadcore lines and mono lines with snap weights. I marked some fish a bit deeper, but the biters were up pretty high so thats where I stayed. I varied my speeds, but 3.0 mph seemed to get the most action. Overall fishing was good today and should get better in the coming weeks when I'm on the lake daily. All the trout are on the move this time of the year so getting out on the water often definitely pays off on Shasta Lake. January thru September dates are available and we're taking trip reservations daily. Call Jaynie at (530) 501-2925 to book. Thank you!
