Hi Gang,

We departed on our Jim's Custom Rods 10 day trip on Thursday morning. After putting on a nice load of sardine, we cleared the point and headed out to the bluefin grounds. After the first nights prime rib dinner, Jim had a very generous raffel in which everyone on board won a Jim's custom fishing rod to go with a bunch of other swag. What a great way to start out a fishing trip! We arrived on scene just after 9:00pm and managed to catch 2 fish with the largest around 140 pounds. The next day was a bit slow as we only managed a handful of bluefin with the largest going around 160 pounds. Just after dark we located a school of biting 35 to 50 pound bluefun tuna and it was absolute pandemonium. Every flat fall jig and every sinker rig was a bite for well over an hour. When the dust had settled, we had our daily limits of bluefin. We are working our way South now and we have really nice weather. Thanks for checking in.
