Bridgeport Area Fire Closer Updates
9-10-2020
Kens Sporting Goods Staff
Here's a little bit about what we know, basically all the waters on US Forest Service property in the area are closed to all recreating, including fishing. Bridgeport Reservoir is not on US Forest Service property, except for the portion North of the "Bathtub" cove (approximately) and remains open. The East Walker River is on California State property and also remains open. The Bureau of Land Management property remains open for dispersed camping but any type of fire or flame is not allowed, including propane and charcoal stoves or burners. We also understand that Bodie is still open for visitors. Campgrounds that are on private property are still open, including Annetts Mono Village, Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground, Paradise Shores, Willow Springs and the Virginia Creek Settlement. Most of the other Bridgeport business are also still open including motels and restaurants. Things sometimes are changing by the hour so we would encourage you to contact specific businesses if you have reservations or plans to find out what's going on with them. We hope this helps and we'll try our best to keep you informed as things change.
