Sacramento River Kings march north!

Its time for some good numbers of salmon to flood into the Red Bluff/Corning stretches of the Sacramento River.  We've had action pretty much since the river opened in July with only a handful days resulting in zero fish landed.  Be it Red Bluff or Corning, we just can't say one hole or drift has fish every single day so we're fishing a bunch of them every week.  Theres not a lot of boat traffic way down river so we're not going to get much warning when the big pods of salmon do show up in Orland/Corning.  Its just going to be a great day on the river and will be the beginning of the best time of the year to fish the Sacramento River for salmon.  I can't wait to see all those smiling faces lined up on the gravel bar at the end of the day, holding their catch up for those great group pic's.  Today Captain Justin and I had two ladies who had never caught a salmon in the Sacramento River. Well, we only had one bite in each boat today, but the two ladies both caught their Sacramento River salmon making for a perfect day in my book.  Sure, we would have liked to catch a few more, but todays experience for these two ladies just couldn't have unfolded any better.  Thank you all for sharing these great experieces with us!
