WIndy Day on the Stardust

The weather reports looked good earlier in the week and I figured it would be a weekend to get back on the water. I ended up at SEA LANDING , I saw Capt Luke as I arrived and he said with the winds blowing he would be heading up the coast line. We were headed out at 7am with 19 other anglers, a quick stop at the bait barge and we were headed north. Capt Luke gave us our safety briefing and said we were headed for Gaviota. The fishing was really rough today and not a lot of willing biters, we did manage around 150 rockfish and a few ling cod (all released). The weather was chilly and windy for most of the day, Deckhand Dane and Pinehead Jay kept busy all day and made sure eveyone was correctly set up. Chef Casey did a great job making sure everyone had what the needed, the food was great. If you want a great day of fishing give the STARDUST at 805-963-3564. If you would like any of these pictures you can email me at john@sportfishingreport.com and I will forward them to you.
