James Netzel
Found some gooder kokanee today at Stampede to 15”. Light fishing pressure made for a very enjoyable morning. Paulina Peak Tackle Cotton Candy started off as the best color early morning catching 3/1 over Clown. Then at around 6:30 Clown was 3/1 over Cotton Candy. Maybe some other colors work too but these have been my top colors all week. I’m fishing fairly deep like 60-80’otw to try to minimize the tiny Kokes. If you are constantly catching only 8-10” fish, you are too shallow. Helped some unlucky anglers change to become lucky anglers with just a few tips and a hoochie/flasher/bag of corn. Poor kid wanted to go home but was happy his dad talked him into staying because they did very well with just a few changes. If anyone is struggling out there, give me a call or stop by and ask for help. But if I have a boatload of clients, I may not be able to help out right then. Most of the time, just a small change will effect you’re catch rate.
