Twin Lakes Fishing Report

Twin Lakes Resort Staff

The fishing on lower twin has some anglers scratching their heads, while others enjoy full stringers of rainbows and browns. Hot weather and receding water levels are pushing the fish into deeper water. Trolling lures from 25’-70’ in the mornings and evenings is proven best for results. Shore fishing the morning and evening when the sun is off the water has also been producing some great results. Biggest fish of the week was just over 10lbs from a kayak. Inflated nightcrawlers, garlic powerbait, salmon peach powerbait and sierra slammer mini jigs all working for shore. Water temp is hanging around 63-65 degrees.

We’re also happy to announce that we have planted brown trout into lower lake. Desert spring hatchery unloaded 1200 fingerling brown trout. This is the first planting of brown trout in lower twin in about 8 years. Head over to the old boathouse at the marina to hang out and check out our TLR fish tank of browns.
