DONNER LAKE
Shore anglers are fishing well on the west end of Donner Lake. Anglers can troll for Macks around 60 feet in depth, rainbow trout around 20-30 feet and Kokanee can be found around the China Cove area. Anglers top-lining for rainbows should try rapalas, kastmasters, and flashers with worms. Donner Lake is currently at 97% capacity.
BOCA RESERVOIR
Boca reservoir is low due to ongoing dam construction. Because of the low water level, anglers have been finding great shore fishing by the Little Truckee inlet side. This area remains steady for trout. Anybody fishing moving water needs to use barbless hooks and it is catch and release. Anglers should use kastmasters, panther martins, rapalas, or worms off the bottom for bait. Boca reservoir is currently at 34% capacity.
STAMPEDE RESERVOIR
At Stampede Reservoir, anglers should troll for Kokanee and topline for rainbow trout near the boat ramp. The best Kokanee are 60 to 80 feet in depth and anglers should try using pink dodgers, pink hoochies, and wedding rings. Shore anglers should continue to focus on fishing near the dam for any trout or bass. Shore anglers should try powerbait, worms off the bottom, kastmasters, or rapalas. Stampede reservoir level is currently at 64% capacity.
PROSSER CREEK RESERVOIR
Prosser Creek Reservoir is fishing great near the dam. Shore anglers are reporting good size trout and bass right now. Anglers using float tubes should fish with sinking lines and leech patterns, midges, or small streamers. Some good options gear for shore anglers to try are panther martins, rapalas, or blue fox spinners. Prosser Creek Reservoir is currently at 76% capacity.
JACKSON MEADOWS RESERVOIR
Jackson Meadows Reservoir has been better for anglers in the morning and evenings. Trout can be found in the coves or inlet areas and anglers that are trolling should use dodgers and worms. Anybody shore fishing should use powerbait, worms, small lures, or kastmasters. The Jackson Meadows reservoir is at 88% capacity.
