Hello everyone; If you look at our title, pushing water, then let me explain the title. The Yellowtail fishing today was very good again, and the Yellowtail were pushing water coming through the corner. The long rod was the hot ticket today, but sardines and mackerel were not to far behind. Most of the Yellowtail were in the 15 to 18 pound range, and a good number in the 22 to 28 pound range, and or course the stand-outs over 30 pounds were also caught in good numbers.
The surprise catch for today, was a handful of Grouper we caught fishing for Yellowtail.. Around 15:00 hours, we would only have a handful of passengers fishing (7), the rest were taking a break, from the battles of the Yellowtails.
Weather today was beautiful, with flat seas, clear skies, and sunny, and also on the warm side. We departed the area at 20:00 hours, and we are headed north, looking for some type of tuna (bluefin/yellowfin) to top off our excellent catch of Yellowtail. Not much more to report, so until tomorrow, wish us luck. Team R/p
