Another great day
2-18-2009
Royal Polaris Crew
Hi Folks,
Weather today was a bit breezy, but sunny. Our fishing today was pretty darn sensational. We scratched a little in the morning, but at noon we found an excellent school of biting fish on black porpoise. We caught 68 Yellowfin tuna to 300 plus pounds. We caught 3 fish over 200 pounds. A 242, 227, and a 221. The luck angler for the day was Mark Frankenburg who landed a 304 pound Yellowfin, using a sardine and 130 pound Jerry Brown (line one) spectra and a 130 pound Blackwater flowcarbon. Mark is from Georgia. He made his first trip last April, when he caught a 314 pound Yellowfin tuna. Another hot angler today was Chris Peterson, who caught 2 fish over 200 plus pounds, and several more in the 140 to 170 pound category.
