Hi Gang,

We returned home this morning at 0600 from our first trip of the year. We are very happy with our results as we located a school of bluefin tuna early in the morning yesterday that stayed with the boat for over 7 hours. We ended up landing 12 bluefin and 5 yellowtail with 7 of our bluefin going from 107# to 135#'s. Everyone had an opportunity at a trophy for most of the day. The best method was the sinker rig with a nose hooked sardine on 50 or 60 pound. There were some heartbreaking losses as these bigger bluefin are tough to land on mid size gear. Overall, it was a successful trip. We depart again today on a 3 day in hopes of having a shot at more bluefin. Al;so, we have added another 3 day to our schedule that departs this coming Thursday and returns on a Sunday morning.
