Bring your oven mitts, the bite is red hot!!!!

World-famous Captain Steve P, on the Mission Belle roped in a whopping total of 56 yellowtail, 50 barracuda, 38 calicos, 3 rockfish and 5 bonito on their full day trip to the Coronado Islands.

Captain Chad on the Point Loma's local 3/4 day reported 74 calicos, 1 barracuda, 20 rockfish, and 1 sand bass. Make sure to nab a spot today!

If you're going out on offshore trips please make sure to bring an 80lb. setup with torpedos between 4-12oz. and circle hooks 1/0-4/0. 

Also, overnights and longer will require passengers to bring their own bedding along with your face coverings.


Departing tonight:

The El Capitan has a 1.5 day trip departing at 8:00 pm. This trip is fishing offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna and Yellowtail. Ticket price is $430.00 and includes meals Mexican fishing permit is additional. Limited to 18 passengers. THIS TRIP IS A DEFINITE GO! WITH 4 SPOTS LEFT as of this report.


Departing Sunday night:

The T –Bird has an overnight trip departing at 8:00 pm. This trip is also fishing offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna and Yellowtail. Ticket price is $265.00 and includes your Mexican fishing permit. Limited to 22 passengers.


Local trips:

The Daily Double departs twice a day for ½ day trips to the local kelp beds. Departure times are 8:30 am and 3:00 pm.

The Point Loma has local ¾ day trips scheduled every day. Departure time is 6:30 am. No passport required for this trip.

The Mission Belle is currently running full day trip to the Coronado Islands. Departure time is 6:00 am. All passengers will need a valid passport or passport card to board the boat.

Some things to keep in mind in order to be able to go forward are that social distancing practices and safe medical practices must be adhered to and are as follows:

  1. Any angler that has any cold or flu symptoms must stay at home.

  2. All anglers must wear a mask and that covers both mouth and nose.

  3. Anglers must keep a minimum of a 6 foot distance at all times.

  4. All anglers fishing on an Overnight trip or longer must bring their own pillow and blanket.
