The PACIFICA returned from a 1.5 day trip this morning with 15 Bluefin Tuna up to 140 pounds, 3 Yellowfin Tuna and 10 Yellowtail. They have a 1.5 Day departing this evening and it is a DEFINITE RUN! Make your reservations now and take advantage of the lighter loads and great fishing.

Our fleet is reporting excellent signs of 80-150 pound tuna. Recommended tackle includes a 30-40# bait rod for fishing Yellowtail on kelps, a 50-60# bait rod for flyline or sinker fishing and an 80# outfit for fishing flat falls or other jigs. Seaforth Sportfishing offers a full lineup of rental equipment from 25# all the way up to 100#. We have plenty of 2 speed options as well if you are looking to round out your quiver.

The Tribute just called in with 2 70-80# Bluefin on the boat and several fish still hanging! Captain Mike reported excellent weather conditions to go along with their steady morning bite. The PACIFICA checked in from a 1.5 day trip with 15 Bluefin in the 110 pound class, 3 Yellowfin tuna and 10 Yellowtail. The SAN DIEGO's Full day trip boated 3 Bluefin to 135 pounds with a handful that got away. Both boats report seeing good signs of 80-150 pound tuna. Tackle recommendations from both captains include some heavier tackle including an 80 pound jig rod for flatfall jig fishing, 50-60 pound for sinker fishing sardines and 30-40 pound outfits......
