As we head into summer the heat is on. Not just our weather we have Lake Mohave producing some nice striper catches. Our local angler Mark Aguilar land a nice 6.40 pound striper at 28 and 1/2 inches. He was fishing near the Davis dam using anchovies. I have been hearing the coves near the power lines and just out of the marina by the islands. These spots have been producing a few along with some small mouth bass near the shelves near the Nevada side not far from the dam. The ned rigs in the pb&j finesse worm is a sure to go to bait.

Below the Davis dam along the Colorado river we are having some great action stripers are being found in all the great spots. I do have to say except on the weekend.

Our to main parks are hosts to a lot of folks that just need to get away and our parks fit that bill. this is not to say the fishing is off but its early morning or evening which fits our weather just well we are hot. Our local angler Victor Barnett landed a nice striper fishing from shore using anchovies in the evening. His fish measured in at 32 and 3/8 inches and he has been having some success in this night fishing. A nice surprise was Randy Rodriguez bring in his small mouth bass he landed from shore in the community park area. He was fishing form shore using a night crawler and his smallie weighed in at 3.34 pounds and was 18 and 5/8 inches. these fish put up a great battle and this is a nice size small mouth bass. We are still getting some reports of stripers in the lower big bend area and near the nature center so if your are having some success please stop in and share the story and bring that catch. thanks for All of your support we will see you in soon
