DONNER:
With the boat ramp accessible, Donner is a great option for trollers itching to get on the water. Putting in the time out here could pay off with the occasional large fish with a 20+ pound Mackinaw being caught and released in recent weeks. Shore fishing has been steady here as well with Rainbows being caught on Powerbait.
Recommendations: Lures:Kastmasters (silver on sunny days, gold on overcast days), RoosterTails, Mepps, Rapalas, Sierra Spoons. Bait: Powerbait, Salmon eggs, worms
BOCA:
Low and muddy is the theme at Boca as they plan to continue construction of the dam this Spring. It is currently fishing okay, however we are expecting the fishing to slow as water temps warm and fish seek the deeper water later this Spring. Launching a boat will be limited to offshore.
RECOMMENDED GEAR:
Off-shore- Powerbait or worms, Kastmasters, spinners, Rapalas
STAMPEDE:
Access in now open to Stampede. However, the boat ramp in still covered in ice and we are NOT recommending launching a boat here. Shore fishing has been good with most anglers using lures or bait around the dam.
RECOMMENDED GEAR:
Powerbait or worms, Kastmasters, Rooster Tails, Rapalas, Gitzit Jigs, Jig and a float
PROSSER:
With the ice only recently melting here, the trout have been feeding aggressively and shore fishing has been good. Try fishinj any drop-offs or near the dam.
RECOMMENDED GEAR:
Off-shore- Powerbait or worms, Kastmasters, Rapalas, spinners or Jigs
SEASONAL Pyramid Lake:
Closed to fishing & camping indefinitely due to the COVID-19 outbreak
