Bass Are Starting to Bite More Frequetly

3-22-2020
Pyramid Lake Staff

Largemouth and Smallmouth bass have been starting to bite more frequently around the lake and along the shoreline as well on various types of baits. Using soft plastics drop shot, texas rigged or jigs have been working well along with some deeper diving jerk baits and crankbaits as well. The water is back up so the rip rap infront of the boat shop is a great spot to hit with weightless baits and the canal along the entrance booth has been a great spot for stripers and occasional trout. Anchovies have been working well to catch stripes from the banks along with trolling umbrella rigs or deep jerk baits around Chumash Island, Yellowbar and Serrano as well. Catfish have also been biting all over the lake on sardines, anchovies, and chicken liver down deep, bait and wait style.
