Day of the Docks Cancelled

3-19-2020
Catherine Miller

Hi,

COVID-19 Update

The Port of San Diego’s Day At The Docks has been canceled.

After a comprehensive discussion, weighing the costs and benefits of finding an alternate date for the Port of San Diego’s Day At The Docks 2020, the board of the San Diego Sportfishing Council concluded that holding the event later this year is not a viable option.

The outlook is very good for a strong spring and early summer fishing season. The dates we considered to be far enough in the future to be outside the present COVID-19 restricted time frame, would place the event in conflict with on-going sportfishing activity.  And of course, sportfishing activity is what we support and promote.

Over the next week we will be processing refunds to vendors and exhibitors who have signed up for the 2020 event. If you paid by credit card you will see the refund on your card.  If you paid by cash or check we will be issuing you a check.

We are all very hopeful that this current health crisis is resolved soon and with the least harm to our community, the industry and our customers.

We are planning 2021 Port of San Diego’s Day At The Docks on Sunday, April 18th, 2021. Please save the date.

Stay Healthy and Be Safe

Peggy
