Bass, Crappie, and Catfish are still biting while the trout continue to hide. Most are being bought in on Senkos and Powerbait worms. Texas rigs and drop shots are popular with some using a Wacky rig. Casting close to the reeds in the flats or the coves seems to be very effective. The water is starting to stratify, so we expect the fish to be moving to top water as the temperature continues to increase.

The clear skies are bring out our expert anglers. We had dozens of fish, mostly bass, brought in on Texas rigs and drop shots. Senkos and plastic worms seem to be the common thread, while some are lucky with Garlic Night crawlers. Cachuma Bay is a popular destination as well as the islands and the flats.
