Lake Poway Staff
Lake Poway stocked Nebraska Tail Walkers including trophies on February 26th. Half Moon Bay to Hidden Bay were the hottest spots following the stock. Joseph Ta (see photo) caught an 8.5 lb. trout using Trap Jigz off Jump Off Point on February 27th.
When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information.
March Madness
Lake Poway will hold a weekly fishing competition during the month of March. Each week Lake Poway will be giving away a prize for the biggest fish caught. The fish must be weighed in and logged at the boat dock and winners will be contacted the following Monday morning. All ages are welcome!

Spring Camping
Sleep under the spring stars! Set up your tent and explore the park at your own pace. Hike the numerous trails, drop a line to catch a fish, cruise the lake on a motorboat, or simply relax by your campsite and enjoy all the natural beauty that Lake Poway has to offer. Fishing permits and boat rentals are not included but may be purchased for a nominal fee at the Lake Poway Concessions. This is a rain or shine event! $25 per car. Time Details:
The official start time is 1 p.m. on Friday and the official end time is 10 a.m. on Saturday. However, if you would like to set-up camp early, early check-in is available starting at 6 a.m. on Friday.

Free Trout Fishing Seminar at Lake Poway
Saturday: March 14th, 2020
Come learn from the experts. This seminar is geared toward beginners and first-time anglers. The seminar will cover basic fishing techniques, bait types, and equipment. No registration is required, and no equipment is needed.
