  • Stocking: The lake was stocked with 2000 lbs. of trout last week. We will stock another 1500 lbs. of trout the week of February 24th.
  • New Moon Fishing: Join us on the darkest night of the month for night fishing! Catch the trout bite at dusk or cast for catfish roaming at night. The lake will be open 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22nd. Full sized lanterns required after 5:00 p.m.
  • What's the catch? It was a good weekend for bass. Fishermen reported the bass biting in Sentry, Siesta, and Half Moon Coves using swimbait and drop shot. The trout were being uncooperative this weekend, perhaps because of the warmer weather, but there were some caught at Eagle Point/Cove. Inflated nightcrawlers and salmon peach powerbait were the baits of choice. Cloister Cove was a good location to catch bluegill. NIghtcrawlers seemed to be working for bluegill. The catfish were biting in Eagle Cove.
  • Conditions: The water temperature is currently 61 degrees. For an up-to-date weather forecast in Lakeside click HERE.
  • Just a reminder, dogs are only permitted on Bass Road leading to the campground,  in the campground, and the trails from the campground. They are not permitted on the lake side, near the shoreline, or in the water. Please keep them on a 6 foot leash and pick up after your pooch. Much appreciation!
  • We now offer military discounts on fishing permits and boat fees for all active duty, guard, reserve, and veterans with proper military ID. Thank you for your service!
  • Group Site: Situated at the top of Bream Drive, our group area not only has the best lake and city views on the campsite, it accommodates up to 30 people and 10 tents! The site also features a partially enclosed pavilion, fire pit, picnic tables, easy access to the restrooms, and electricity. The site is $140 per night. For information on the availability of the group site, click HERE.
  • The days are getting longer and the weather is starting to warm up! Campground reservations are picking up for the spring already. We have some full hook-up sites available beginning mid March. Full hook-up sites include sewer, water, electricity, and start at $44/night. To book your campsite online, click HERE.
