Klamath Steelhead - A Bakers Dozen

2-12-2020
Scott Caldwell

Epic day for Dan, yesterday, on the Klamath he caught an released a bakers dozen and in one stretch we made 9 straight passes going 9 for 9, it doesn't get much better than that, enjoy the VIDEO .

Everything one could ask for on  day of fishing, no traffic, blue semi warm skies and biting Steelhead, that has been norm on the Klamath river lately. Whether back trolling bait or plugs (maglips), casting rapalas all liberally coated in Pro-Cure scents the fish have been on the bite and yesterday we a few hour stretch where we could do wrong. Most of the fish Dan caught and released we between 19 an 24 inches with a few small ones mixed in. 9 straight smashing drag ripping bites and good hard fighting battles was quite an amazing period on the river.

Starting in March I am taking bookings for Klamath river, Shasta Lake, Lake Siskiyou, McCloud Reservoir, and Whiskeytown. We will be targeting Brookies Browns Kokanee and Rainbows at these Lakes. I also have Bass and Crappie trips available in the coming months. All these fish are great eating if you so or you can releases them for another day.
