Captain Temo Verboonen, our local area representative, reported on only two boats for this period, but the report says it all. The fishing right now is exceptional and of wide variety, too, and topping it off, starting at just 3 miles from the entrance to the Bay. Captain Adolfo, Dos Hermanos I, reporting for 19 fishing days with French client, Mr. Jean-Piere Misseri, reflected 24 sailfish, 6 dorado, 5 roosterfish, 193 jack cravelle, 202 bonito, 128 sierra, 47 needlefish, 48 green jacks, 12 grouper, 3 red snapper, 18 pompano, 6 rock grouper, 4 tiger grouper, 3 palometa, 4 dorada, 2 bone fish and 1 rainbow runner, for an action packed fishing vacation. Captain Temo, reporting for his super panga, "Secuestro De Amor", reflected 17 sailfish, 5 dorado and 14 jacks for the past week, fishing only a couple of days.

I/Z Climate: Mostly sunny days with temps from 72 nights to 89 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Excellent, calm, very blue water just 3 miles from the Zihuatanejo Bay entrance and temps that ranged from 78 inshore to 82 offshore.

Best fishing area: Around the white rocks at Morros de Potosi for the inshore fishing and almost anywhere from about 3 miles offshore for the billfish.

Best Lure/Bait: The jacks were very active on almost any type of artificial presented, with red & white pencil poppers being one of the best, following live bait. The billfish bit very well on the rigged trolling baits.

Bait Supply: Plentiful for all boats.
