As I look back on our second full season here in Oceanside we would like to thank everyone that fished with us. Some turned into to great friends and some became family to us. 2019 had ups and downs but mostly ups. The year started with great sand bass and sheepshead fishing and when spring and summer came it was game on for calico bass and the Vamos A Pescar trips (every Sunday in association with the Pfleger Institute of Environment research and Chubasco2 sportfishing kids and their families came out for free to learn about marine biology and substainable fishing). Late summer and fall saw some huge bluefin tuna hit the dock. The building permits came through and the improvements make such a huge difference. The tackle shop which only carried a few hooks and sinkers in the beginning has now grown into something to be proud of and still growing. The people of Oceanside opened their arms and hearts to us, which made great days even better.
